Orientadas pela professora Dr.\u00aa Beatriz Wey, as alunas Aline Xavier e Desir\u00e9e Soares, graduandas em Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Internacionais desta universidade, desenvolvem desde novembro de 2015 um projeto de pesquisa sobre o nazista Adolf Eichmann, intitulado: \u201cO Julgamento de Adolf Eichmann: o caso de um sequestro e suas implica\u00e7\u00f5es na hist\u00f3ria das rela\u00e7\u00f5es internacionais entre Israel, Alemanha, EUA e Argentina\u201d.<\/p>\n

Eichmann foi um oficial do partido nazista que, ao final da Segunda Guerra Mundial, obteve documenta\u00e7\u00e3o falsificada e fugiu para o sub\u00farbio de Buenos Aires, Argentina, onde passou dez anos vivendo sob a identidade de Ricardo Klement, at\u00e9 ser descoberto e capturado em 1960 por oficiais israelenses para ser julgado pela Corte Distrital de Jerusal\u00e9m, sendo condenado \u00e0 morte por enforcamento em maio de 1962.<\/p>\n

Durante as investiga\u00e7\u00f5es, surgiram implicantes que apontavam para a necessidade de uma procura mais aprofundada em arquivos sobre o caso Eichmann dispon\u00edveis na cidade de Buenos Aires. Foi assim que a pesquisadora Desir\u00e9e Soares teve a oportunidade de viajar para a capital argentina, visitar o acervo de peri\u00f3dicos e revistas das d\u00e9cadas de 1940 a 2000 da Biblioteca Nacional e conhecer o Museu do Holocausto de Buenos Aires, trazendo um material fotogr\u00e1fico que pode colaborar para as pr\u00f3ximas etapas da pesquisa.<\/p>\n

Hoje as pesquisadoras contam com um artigo publicado e um segundo artigo em fase de publica\u00e7\u00e3o, uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o da pesquisa em evento do Centro Acad\u00eamico de Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Internacionais (CARI) da PUC-Rio e uma Mesa Redonda organizada em nossa universidade. E a pesquisa n\u00e3o para por a\u00ed: o material coletado em viagem ao pa\u00eds encontra-se agora dispon\u00edvel ao p\u00fablico atrav\u00e9s desse portal.<\/p>\n

\u201cO objetivo ao criarmos esse espa\u00e7o de exposi\u00e7\u00e3o, semelhante a um banco de dados, \u00e9 fomentar o interesse pelo tema do nazismo, ampliando o conhecimento que se tem a respeito de Adolf Eichmann. O visitante pode conferir um total de 180 fotografias, retiradas de sete peri\u00f3dicos e tr\u00eas revistas argentinas, conhecer a galeria de imagens do Museu do Holocausto, al\u00e9m de ter acesso aos arquivos publicados durante a pesquisa\u201d \u2013 afirmam as pesquisadoras.<\/p>\n
