Fonte: Oliveira, Farias, Marino, 2023.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>O anteprojeto realizado pelo Departamento de Geografia da UFRRJ estudou a viabilidade de um novo ramal de trens urbanos, que ligaria a universidade \u00e0 cidade de Japeri. O trajeto teria como ponto de partida a esta\u00e7\u00e3o Serop\u00e9dica, dentro do campus da UFRRJ, e percorreria aproximadamente 15 quil\u00f4metros at\u00e9 a Esta\u00e7\u00e3o Central de Japeri, encontrando o Ramal Japeri-Paracambi, atualmente operado pela SuperVia. O estudo sugere um fluxo de 100 mil passageiros por m\u00eas, dentre estudantes, docentes, e servidores, que fazem seu translado a partir de diversos bairros do Rio de Janeiro e cidades lim\u00edtrofes.<\/p>\n<p>Em setembro de 2023, a equipe respons\u00e1vel pelo anteprojeto fez visitas \u00e0s rodovias, ruas e estradas de terra de interesse para o projeto. Esses \u201cpontos de interesse\u201d come\u00e7am na linha f\u00e9rrea da MRS Log\u00edstica ainda no campus da UFRRJ, atravessam os viadutos da BR-465 em Serop\u00e9dica, passam pela \u00e1rea rural da cidade, pelo Arco Metropolitano, pelo Rio Guandu, at\u00e9 finalmente chegar \u00e0 Esta\u00e7\u00e3o Ferrovi\u00e1ria de Japeri, que segundo o estudo, \u00e9 de grande porte, e perfeitamente adequada para a adi\u00e7\u00e3o de um novo ramal. Mais de 80% do trajeto citado faz parte do vale ferrovi\u00e1rio da MRS Log\u00edstica, que seria expandido para comportar os trens da nova linha. A exist\u00eancia dessa estrutura tira a necessidade de desapropria\u00e7\u00f5es, remo\u00e7\u00f5es de fam\u00edlias, e de impeditivos ambientais.<\/p>\n<p>O anteprojeto cita que a esta\u00e7\u00e3o Serop\u00e9dica-UFRRJ ficaria numa \u00e1rea de f\u00e1cil acesso \u00e0 toda comunidade universit\u00e1ria e popula\u00e7\u00e3o da cidade, e refor\u00e7a que a conex\u00e3o com a esta\u00e7\u00e3o Japeri ligaria o munic\u00edpio de Serop\u00e9dica a toda rede de trens metropolitanos do Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n<p>O relat\u00f3rio, que conta com 49 p\u00e1ginas, foi realizado pelo Laborat\u00f3rio Integrado de Geografia F\u00edsica Aplicada (LIGA-UFRRJ), e Laborat\u00f3rio de Geografia Econ\u00f4mica, Pol\u00edtica e Planejamento (LAGEP-UFRRJ), e tem como objetivo oferecer mapas, quadros e tabelas informativas, acervo fotogr\u00e1fico abrangente, e sugest\u00f5es para resolu\u00e7\u00e3o dos obst\u00e1culos impostos pelo projeto.
