Gabriela Carlos, da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), graduada em antropologia, apresentou estudo sobre \u201cCidadania e esporte no Projeto Grael\u201d. O segundo palestrante, doutor em ci\u00eancias sociais, Luis Fernando Rojo, tamb\u00e9m da UFF, exp\u00f4s pesquisa sobre \u201cOs m\u00faltiplos significados da cidadania: Indiv\u00edduo e fam\u00edlia na pr\u00e1tica da vela\u201d<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\">Gabriela Carlos explicou sobre a import\u00e2ncia do Projeto Grael para os beneficiados. O trabalho \u00e9 desenvolvido em Niter\u00f3i, no bairro de Jurujuba. Em entrevistas com os alunos do projeto, ela percebeu que a pr\u00e1tica de esporte \u00e9 vista como lazer, diferente da escola que \u00e9 encarada por eles como uma obriga\u00e7\u00e3o. Segundo a pesquisadora, \u201co mais engra\u00e7ado nessa hist\u00f3ria \u00e9 que o Projeto Grael tem chamada e quem falta muito \u00e9 encaminhado para a secretaria\u201d.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\">\u201cPara os alunos do programa, ser um cidad\u00e3o \u00e9 ter um trabalho digno, e \u00e9 isso que muitos buscam no projeto\u201d, concluiu Gabriela Carlos ap\u00f3s as entrevistas com os beneficiados. Segundo ela, o Projeto Grael almeja que ao final do curso os alunos tenham conseguido realizar os desejos projetados.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\">O segundo palestrante, Luiz Fernando Rojo, apresentou ao p\u00fablico parte da pesquisa que realiza em um clube de vela de Niter\u00f3i, freq\u00fcentado pelas fam\u00edlias das classes mais altas do Rio de Janeiro. O professor refletiu sobre a grande a dist\u00e2ncia social entre as pessoas participantes do Projeto Grael e os freq\u00fcentadores do clube de vela. Ele entende que, diferente do que acontece \u201cem terra\u201d, no ambiente social mar essa dist\u00e2ncia n\u00e3o existe, pois todos trabalham em conjunto para o melhor desenvolvimento da navega\u00e7\u00e3o do barco.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\">Durante a pesquisa de campo, Rojo percebeu a press\u00e3o que as fam\u00edlias de classe alta exercem sobre os filhos. Ele contou que, durante um treinamento de vela, uma crian\u00e7a de dez anos se machucou de prop\u00f3sito s\u00f3 para sair do barco e parar de velejar. O pesquisador acredita que esta atitude extrema foi tomada porque a crian\u00e7a detesta praticar vela, mas \u00e9 obrigada pela fam\u00edlia, inteira de velejadores.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\">Para as crian\u00e7as do Projeto Grael, a pr\u00e1tica da vela \u00e9 um direito de escolha, um lazer, uma divers\u00e3o, j\u00e1 para as crian\u00e7as das grandes fam\u00edlias de velejadores a vela n\u00e3o \u00e9 um esporte a ser praticado por escolha, \u00e9 um dever defender o nome da fam\u00edlia, uma obriga\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;text-indent: 35.4pt\">Ao final das palestras e do debate com o p\u00fablico, o professor \u00c9dison Gastaldo da UFRRJ, apresentou dois document\u00e1rios realizados por ele.
