A cidade do Rio de Janeiro recebeu, no final do m\u00eas de Julho, a Jornada Mundial da Juventude – JMJ -, um evento cat\u00f3lico que re\u00fane jovens crist\u00e3os de v\u00e1rias partes do mundo para celebrar e comemorar a sua f\u00e9, com a participa\u00e7\u00e3o do Papa. Essa 8\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o foi a segunda maior da hist\u00f3ria, com pouco mais de 3 milh\u00f5es de jovens, s\u00f3 perdendo para a edi\u00e7\u00e3o de 1995 nas Filipinas, que reuniu 4 milh\u00f5es de pessoas.
    Mas n\u00e3o foi s\u00f3 o Rio de Janeiro que teve sua rotina mudada. Em Serop\u00e9dica, a Igreja Matriz de Santa Terezinha acolheu 19 peregrinos venezuelanos, que foram recebidos por jovens cat\u00f3licos, moradores e tamb\u00e9m alunos, inclusive da UFRRJ.
    Uma das jovens que acolheu e conviveu com os cat\u00f3licos da Venezuela foi Juliana Poiares, estudante de Jornalismo na Rural. Ela define a JMJ como uma oportunidade de reafirmar a Igreja Cat\u00f3lica como uma uni\u00e3o de fi\u00e9is de todo o mundo.
    – Al\u00e9m de ser uma experi\u00eancia muito agrad\u00e1vel para conhecer pessoas de lugares diferentes e ter contato com outro idioma, h\u00e1 o divertimento que esse encontro gera, e a chance da Igreja reafirmar sua concep\u00e7\u00e3o de unifica\u00e7\u00e3o, presente em todos os pa\u00edses – explica ela.
    Juliana acredita que encontrar jovens de outras regi\u00f5es \u00e9 uma grande oportunidade de conhecer hist\u00f3rias diferentes de quem, assim como ela, estuda ou trabalha e divide seu tempo com a sua religi\u00e3o, passando por situa\u00e7\u00f5es, muitas vezes, semelhantes.
    – Essa uni\u00e3o, esse encontro, nos fortalece, porque sabemos que existem pessoas de lugares distantes e culturas distintas que enfrentam os mesmos desafios que n\u00f3s. Isso, sem d\u00favida, renova as energias para continuarmos seguindo Jesus – explica Juliana.
    Sentimento \u00fanico
Para muitos dos que participaram, essa foi a primeira oportunidade de estar em um grande evento da Igreja cat\u00f3lica, e especialmente, de encontrar o l\u00edder da sua religi\u00e3o, o Papa Francisco, que conquistou n\u00e3o s\u00f3 jovens da sua Igreja como de diversas outras cren\u00e7as.
    O mesmo sentimento \u00e9 compartilhado por Isabella Nascimento, tamb\u00e9m moradora de Serop\u00e9dica e diz que muitos dos seus amigos, mesmo os de outras religi\u00f5es, se encantaram com o carisma e a simplicidade do Papa Francisco.
    – Ele \u00e9 um exemplo de humildade para qualquer pessoa, religiosa ou n\u00e3o. Uma pessoa simples, capaz de respeitar a todos, sejam ou n\u00e3o cat\u00f3licos – diz ela.
    Isabella diz que para os jovens cat\u00f3licos de Serop\u00e9dica, essa foi a maior oportunidade da igreja mostrar que n\u00e3o \u00e9 mais como antes.
    – A maioria tinha uma vis\u00e3o da Igreja como tradicional e p\u00f4de ver que n\u00e3o \u00e9 s\u00f3 isso. Tamb\u00e9m somos uma igreja viva, renovada e animada – explica.
    Ela ainda se alegra ao lembrar dos momentos que presenciou na JMJ em Copacabana.
    – \u00c9 uma emo\u00e7\u00e3o sem palavras. S\u00f3 de voc\u00ea olhar para os lados e ver gente de todo o mundo ali, juntos, professando a mesma f\u00e9 \u00e9 algo indescrit\u00edvel -diz Isabella.
    Mesma emo\u00e7\u00e3o teve Wendel Vieira, que tamb\u00e9m esteve presente na JMJ.
    – Achei um evento fant\u00e1stico. O mundo se concentrou em um \u00fanico lugar. Pessoas de todo o planeta estavam presentes – complementa.
    A pr\u00f3xima Jornada Mundial da Juventude ser\u00e1 daqui a tr\u00eas anos em Crac\u00f3via, cidade de onde veio o ent\u00e3o arcebispo Karol Wojtyla, hoje beato e Papa Jo\u00e3o Paulo II. Isabella defende que os jovens de Serop\u00e9dica devem marcar presen\u00e7a.
